Scary Spider

Anyboy ever seen a spider like this before? It was really creapy looking! We captured it in a jar and it died. Well, the RAID may have had something to do with it...

We are so boring...

It has been so long since I've posted anything. I guess I just don't have any cool pictures to post about. The most exciting thing in our lives right now is our garden. We love going out back to check on how everything is growing. (Above picture is not our garden... Ours is WAY better).

The peach tree is doing awesome! (No pictures of course...). It started out with 2 peaches last year, and this year we are going to have well over 100 peaches! We are so excited! Our grapes are doing well too! Last year they were new to our yard and they barely did anything. This year we will get about 10 bunches of grapes! So fun to watch them grow!

We also have our usual tomatoes and zucchini. We will get some zucchini this week! Can't wait! We also bought an apricot tree early this year. It started out as a stick. I mean literally a stick. And now, it is covered with leaves and growing really well! No fruit this year, but we have high hopes for next year!

We also planted strawberries for the first time. These strawberries are the BEST I have ever had. They might be tiny but they taste AMAZING!! We also planted a blackberry stick... It has been in the ground for many, many months. We never saw any growth on it and wondered many times if it was dead. Well, as of this week - IT IS ALIVE! It sprouted one leaf. We are so proud.

Ryan also planted an onion that sprouted in our fridge but we aren't really sure about how to grow onions, so it may be dead already...

So, there you have it. We are boring. All we have is our cute garden and fruits that come from our garden. We may have a small yard, but we have enough room to grow yummy food! It is so fun too! Come check out our garden and maybe we'll share some of it with you!

Crafts...

So, I am not a very "crafty" person. Every time the word "craft" is mentioned, Ryan usually pipes up and says, "Craps?" He isn't a fan of "crafts."

When it comes to being creative, I usually look for someone elses ideas and then carry them out myself. Which is why this next task will be a challenge for me but it could be fun for you. However, it will be good and I am excited to get better at something...

The first five people to respond to this post will receive something made by me. HOMEMADE! The item will be my choice made just for you!

Restrictions and Limitations:

1. I have complete creative freedom
2. What I create will be just for you
3. It will be done within the next 6 months
4. You have no clue what it will be. It may be a personalized note cards. I might bake something. I might not think of anything until 6 months from now...

The catch? You must re-post this on your own blog and offer the same giveaway to 5 people who comment. The first 5 people to leave a comment telling me they are in, will win a FAB-U-LOUS homemade gift from me! Be sure to post a picture of what you get!

Here's to creativity!

PBR

Ok, so you wouldn't guess that Ryan and I went to the PBR event here in Anaheim. We didn't even know what the PBR was until after we went... We are always up for something new, so we went to the Professional Bull Riding event! It was fabulous! One of my favorite parts was the opening event. They had a huge, I mean HUGE, bull head on the gates where the riders come out. As they announced each rider the huge bulls' eyes lite up RED and fire came rushing out of their mouths and nostrils followed by steam! It was so fun and funny! I loved it!

We watched 40 riders do their best to stay on the bull for 8 seconds! (8 seconds never seemed so long)! We learned a lot that night about the PBR. We learned that the bulls and the riders both get scores. We learned that bulls actually do paw at the ground and charge at people. Well, I already knew that, but Ryan thought the bulls only did that in cartoons! We learned that a really, I mean REALLY, fat man can hold a hot dog (plus the bun) in his mouth like a cigarette... Wish we had a picture of that...
We had a blast, and we enjoyed it so much we had to watch the second round the next night on TV to see who won! If you ever get a chance to go see bull riding, do it! It was really fun!

The Cutest BAG on the Block!

So, this is LOOOONG over due. This year for Christmas, Stacey (my sister) made me this adorable bag! It was JUST the right size for Camden, so we popped him right in. He was so warm and cozy in there! But... since Camden had to go home, I took my super cute bag home and made it my new church stuff bag! It is perfect and I LOVE it!

Thanks so much Stacey! I can't believe you actually made it! It is so, so, so cute! Way to go! THANK YOU STACEY!!
