Trip to the ER

Poor finger... Ryan actually considered leaving all the blood on his hand for halloween except for that it is over a week away...

How you ask? On a can lid. He used a can opener but the can didn't open so well. Ryan's little finger tried to help but the can won. Luckily Ryan still has the tip of his finger. 7 stitches! OUCHY! Just glad he didn't loose the top of his finger!

The only good part about it was that because of Ryan's job he knows all the staff in the ER pretty well. He actually took himself to the hospital as I hurried to meet him from work. He didn't go in the front door, he went in the back door and they took care of him right away. One of his job perks I guess...

It was pretty gross. The tissue inside his finger was coming out so much they had to cut the tissue out and pull the skin on his finger back up to close it! I didn't really like watching it but Ryan didn't seem to mind and blood poored from his finger. Probably because he couldn't feel it.

Mammoth Vacation

Ryan and I took a little trip to Mammoth and stayed at Lake Mary in these super cute cabins. We knew it would be cold, but didn't know it would snow a foot!! We had a super time and it was amazing and beautiful! We wore pretty much all the clothes we brought every day because it was so cold. I felt like Ralphy from Christmas Story... My arms wouldn't go down!

It was so cold we drove down to June Lake and this little lake Gull (?) I can't remember the name of this lake right next to June Lake.

Back at Lake Mary with my first catch of the day and my first catch ever! It was a 3 lb. Rainbow Trout and the biggest Ryan and his parents had ever seen caught out of that lake!!! I got the big one!

DAY 2:

Every time Ryan threw his line in he caught one! We caught 6 or 7 fish on day 2 and I caught another big one! I got a 2 1/2 lb. fish the second time. Plus a little guy...

Grandpa Winn

Ryan and I took a quick trip to Las Vegas to visit his Sister and family, and my Grandpa. We had tons of fun, and this is the only picture we took...

We visited with Grandpa for several hours and it was a lot of fun. I felt so bad leaving him though. He is the cutest Grandpa ever but lonely. I decided I need to go visit him more often. He will be turning 91 this year! He is great! We love him!

We also had a great time with Jaime and Colin and their 4 kiddos - Noah, Ellie, Rowan and Liam. We stayed with them, and had a blast! Thank you J&C for letting us stay with you!!

Can't wait to go back and visit again!

Pier 39

We visited Pier 39 and watched the sea lions sleep... some played and that was entertaining. Others just slept and made weird noises. It was fun to watch them even though they weren't really active.

This was all after Alcatraz and we were starving so we went and had lunch. Bread bowl with clam chowder for Ryan and bread bowl and chili for me! YUM!

Trolly Car in SF

After Alcatraz we walked down Embarcadero St. and visited Pier 39, Ghirardelli Square and rode the Trolly Car. It was all so much fun! The sun came out too! Here are some photos of our Trolly Car ride. We rode from Fisherman's Wharf to Market Street. It was fun but now that we've done it I don't have to do it again... The main reason we rode it was to see Lomard Street which is the most crooked street EVER. We saw the top, but we were tired so we didn't want to get off and walk down it. Seeing it from the top was good enough... ;)

Oh yeah... I asked this guy to take our picture. He took my camera and took "our" picture! Then he took a picture of Ryan and I. He was pretty funny!

Alcatraz Island

We visited Alcatraz on our little trip and it was really neat! Here are some photos of our adventures.

Some of the prisoners actually escaped by digging around the vent to make it wider. This is one of the cells that a prisoner escaped from.

If you get the chance you should visit Alcatraz. It was really a pretty island and a very interested tour. There were a lot of things to see - many that we didn't photograph. Just take a jacket because it gets cold and windy out there!

Oakland Temple

On our trip to SF we made our way over the Bay Bridge to the Oakland Temple. We got there when it was light to take a picture looking back at downtown SF. However, we waited too long to take pictures of the temple itself. Fun to see it though!

S.F. Part 2

We wandered through Chinatown one afternoon. It was interesting. It looked pretty cool!

From here Ryan decided we could walk to the Golden Gate Bridge. It looked like a few miles away on the map so we started our trek. After about 1 mile we looked for a bus. Luckily we were on the right street to catch a bus right up to the bridge!
