Halloween at Disneyland

Mickey's Halloween Party

Ryan and I went to Disneyland yesterday!  It was so much fun!!  Disneyland is awesome during the holidays.  They get all decked out for Halloween and then Christmas.

My favorite is Christmas at Disneyland!  One of our first dates was to Disneyland.  We watched the "snow" fall on Main Street.  Ahh...  so sweet...  I can't wait to go again!

Jack

Ryan and I were lucky enough to go to the Jack Johnson concert at the Verizon Amphitheatre a few weeks ago.  It was outdoors and really fun!  Neither he or I had seen Jack Johnson in concert before, and it was a lot of fun!  Super laid back and really enjoyable!!

It was a packed house but because it was all outside it didn't feel cramped at all!  I was really glad we went.  I think I love Jack even more than I did before we went!

Also, Jack dedicated a few songs to his mother and friends/family at the concert.  He mentioned that many of them were there.  It was nice to see him be so personable with his family.  We didn't actually SEE them, but I think the show was more personal for all of us there because he shared some family stories with us.  It was really fun!  I'd go see Jack again for sure!

Pictures stolen from Tiff's web site... who saw Jack a few days before we did.   Thanks Tiff!  We forgot our camera.

P.S. The piano guy below was really awesome!  That guy just jammed the whole time.  I am pretty sure he doesn't play the same thing twice.  Amazing!

Underwater in St. Lucia

Obviously we are a little behind.  We took a million photos on our St. Lucia trip and so it has been difficult to figure out which ones to put up.  So, I loaded ALL the photos we took with our underwater camera.  We scuba dived!  The resort offered a mini-certification and so we took it!  We did 2 dives and it was really cool!  We now need to finish the certification course we started 5 years ago...  Some day.  Anyway, here are the photos we took.

I never thought I'd actually see a shell this large in the ocean!  It was really cool and beautiful!

The beach in front of our resort.  So nice...

The resort had kayaks to take out so we did.  Fun times!  Our resort is behind Ryan.  So beautiful!

This was one of the pools at the resort.  Such beautiful views of the ocean!

One of the only pictures I took...  Not so good with underwater camera's I guess...

Pool water is so much more clear, but being in the ocean and looking at all the cool stuff was much more exciting!  Can't wait to do it again!!

Family Photo Time!

While we were in Colorado Stacey and Heath took family photos. They were really cute. We were lucky enough to have Wendy take some photos of us too! Here are my two favorites. If you want a Christmas Card photo - well, here it is. Never do Christmas Cards because we don't have any cute kids to show off. Plus, I doubt anyone wants a photo of us as their Christmas Card... So, here you go! Our most recent family photo. Enjoy!

Colorado in the Fall

Ryan and I were lucky enough to head out to Colorado for a few days to visit Stacey and Heath and their super cute kids!  We were also very luck to have wonderful fall weather!  We were really worried about the rain, mostly because Ryan wanted to mountain bike, and luckily it didn't rain at all!!

We were also super excited to meet our newest niece, Mazie.  She is just about 2 months old now, and she is my most favorite 2 month old ever!

Me and Mazie just hanging outside on a nice fall afternoon.

Mazie's little smile!

Mazie's BIG smile!  No laughs yet, but some smiles!  SO cute!!
This is my favorite almost 2 year old, Camden.  How could anyone EVER say no to that sweet face!

Camden learning to stick out his tongue!  We wanted to kidnap this one.  He cried the most when we left.  Plus, he called us both Mommy!  Oh so sweet...

Ryan and Mazie.  She is such a good baby.  She is also so cute!  Stacey says her hair is red, but I haven't seen it yet.  Of course she'd have to be my favorite if her hair were red!

And of course, Jace.  Jace is the big brother of the bunch!  I was lucky enough to pick up Jace at the bus stop each day after he finished school.  Jace is so fun and full of energy!  It was so fun to play with him.  He is such a happy boy and so sweet.  Both Jace and Camden love their baby sister and love to take care of her.

We didn't too much while we were there.  We enjoyed the kiddos and of course Stacey and Heath's hospitality.  Ryan and Heath went mountain biking one day.  They had a good time, and now we have more reasons to go visit again!  We didn't have enough time to adequately explore the bike trails...  Maybe in the spring after the snow we'll head back up and enjoy the beauty of the Colorado mountains!

Miss you guys already!!

Boston, Is Awesome!!!

Yes, it was a long time ago, but we went to Boston and we had fun!!

I told Ryan Monday at lunch we were going to Boston THAT NIGHT!  We flew out on the red eye and got to Boston about 8am on Tuesday.  We had ONE day in Boston and it was fabulous!

On the flight.  We were so excited!

Fog covered Boston - from the plane

Paul Revere - with the church he hung the lantern in behind it.  Ryan had last been in Boston as a child, and I had never been.  It was SO beautiful!  I think we both had a growth in the sense of our patriotism while we were there.  It was amazing to see history right in front of us.

Inside the church.  The little boxes are family pews.  They are all named and have little doors.
Very cute, and very small.

This is a bust of George Washington.  I think.  I'll have to ask Ryan.

This cute guy was doing tours in Boston Common Park.  He was all dressed up so cute.  As soon as he saw us and Ryan's Angels hat he started teasing us.  He didn't think we should be wearing Angel's garb since it was Sox town...  It was funny.  It was really hot too.  Poor guy was probably starting to dehydrate in that sweat suit!

We went to Boston Commons and Boston Public Garden.  Most of the pictures are from the Public Garden.  I liked it better.  It was landscaped more beautifully.

Lots of flowers in cool arrangements and displays.

Good old George on his horse!

Oh, and of course Cheers is across the street!  We didn't go in, as it was about 10am, but we stood in front and looked at the sign and the doors!

Here - Fenway Park - the sole purpose of the trip.  To see the park and see a game.  We decided to take a tour, and it was really fun and neat too!

This is Tori Hunter, from the Angels.  I called out to him and he waved.  I was hoping for a ball, but I guess he didn't want to share...

This is the bar of the hotel we stayed in - for 4 hours...  (By the time we got back from the game, we slept for 4 hours before we were up again and back to the airport!)  We went to check in and our room wasn't ready yet, so they sent us to the bar for a drink, of course on them.  They said our limit was $25 but when you order two sodas, you barely make it above $5!  They brought us some food and that was really nice too.

Before the game we went to Boston Beer Works for dinner.  What is really cool about Fenway Park and it's location is there are a ton of restaurants all around it.  They close down all the roads so everyone just walks everywhere.  Even if you aren't inside the park for the game, you can here it and feel like you are part of it.  Really cool!

So, just as a side note, when we were in St. Lucia, we met a couple that we became friends with.  We exchanged emails thinking we might see them again someday.  They are from Boston.  When we met them, I had already planned this trip.  I wanted to ask them questions about what to do and where to stay, but I never had the chance since this trip was a surprise for Ryan.

Anyhow, we met up with them for dinner before the game!  They were so nice to come and meet us last minute and to drive into busiest part of town on such a crazy night!  Thanks Kevin and Erica!  We had fun telling stories and catching up.  Nice to know we have friends in such a cool place!  The only bummer part was we forgot to take pictures...  Next time.

Here we are at the big game!  We cheered really loud, but it didn't matter.  The Sox fans cheered louder and so that meant the Sox had to win...  We decided that next time we should go and be Sox fans at a game where we don't care who they are playing.  It would have been more fun to be part of the crowd on this one.  The fans are amazing and so dedicated to their team.  Sox games really ARE their lives!  Cool to see.

All in all we had a SUPER fun time.  It was too bad we didn't have more time to explore and do more really fun things.  BUT, Ryan and I both had a blast and would love to go again!  Fun to be jet-setters for a day though!!
